I think we did at least as well as could have been expected... saw the emergence of Lincecum as the league's most dominant starter, some serious promise for Wilson, and some very exciting things from Pablo, Burriss, and Lewis...

That's not even mentioning the good draft/signings, MadBum, Alderson, AnVil, etc.

Plus, we took care of business the last two weekends against our rivals, so that's a bonus.

Hopefully we can get a bat or two in the off-season and get back into contention next year.

Hell, if someone told me before the season started that we wouldn't be any WORSE than last year, and we'd finish ahead of the Padres, I probably would have laughed in their face.
