The Giants are rumored to be trading Matt Cain to the Brewers in the off-season for Prince Fielder,
J.J. Hardy and another player.

On the surface this seems like a good trade for both teams, but what I don't like about the trade is that both Fielder and Hardy have been underpaid by the Brewers, are now both arbitration eligible, and they both want to get paid.
I could see Fielder getting around 10-12 Million
Hardy around 7-8 Million.

While Cain is signed for another 3 years at a VERY team friendly salary.
09:$2.65M,
10:$4.25M,
11:$6.25M club option

If the Giants are going to trade Cain, we have to get young, talented, and CHEAP players in return, like Orioles, and Marlins did in the Bedard and Beckett trades.

Players like Hanley Ramirez, or Josh Hamilton
