There team salary was over $90 million between 2005-2007. There opening day team salary was around $76.5 million this year. Durham is already off the roster, and they will reduce it by another $13 million at the end of the season if Vizquel and Aurillia leaves.

I believe both Lincecum and Cain are signed till 2010, with team option for 2011. I think Lincecum is eligible for arbitration before 2011, so he's going to get paid before his contract year.

If G's decide to go back to $90 million payroll next year, they can make a big offer to a FA this off season. If they do decide to do that, I rather they go after Teixeira, but I wouldn't mind seeing CC here. Maybe CC will take a home town discount.

Even though their major league roster salary isn't as high as the last several years, they did spend more money on draft picks and amateur free agents this year. Have to factor that in to the G's salary situation.
