I wouldn't classify that as much faster. The difference in speeds between his pitches is the same as it has been. Regardless, if he's been throwing harder over the past month, and you say that velocity has been his problem all along, then why hasn't he been more effective in the past month outside of last night and in Cleveland? The answer is command.
