and that makes the off speed stuff that much more effective. i think the correlation throughout his career has been pretty consistent... when he's thrown harder, the strikeout rates have been much higher and he's been considerably more effective. "fast gun" or not, he's throwing much harder than he was at the start of the year.

but anyway, regardless of how he's doing it, i think we can all be pleased with the results.
