Publicly state you are not willing to trade anyone, including the short-term players so that you bloat their value.

I agree with some of you that Sabean needs to go, but still, I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he never undermines the value of players he wants to trade by stating he is ready to trade them publicly.

If you do that, you get lowballed.
